Office Lust
Man….I have make this quick post…I am like going bananas over an office co-worker. I know….I know…it never leads to anything good, well wait it does…but sometimes, well you know. Anyhow…it really isn’t about a dating –relationship thing. It is more of an incredible Lust thing…I mean…I am really certain all of us even those that keep it to themselves have come across a co-worker or friend that you think, “Man I could Eat that Up”….Put a Little BBQ Sauce and work it like a rib…geez.
Anyhow, so there is this co-worker that, well to put it plain and simple is totally hot, I mean it’s one of those hot things that even just her voice is hot, her smiles is outstanding and her body is so freaking awesome that well..Ok…I need to bring it down…I think I will need a cold shower after this post…LOL. Anyhow, so…yah we casually exchange smiles and pleasantries, but other than that…business as usual. The thing is…let me say…I isn’t.the only person on the floor that thinks as I o…there are even a few women that thinks she is hot…now wait and the thing si…and I don’t mean this in a bad way, but dam she is a great worker…well at least I think so.
The thing is that…you know…maybe a drink after work…a happy hour…nothing out of the ordinary…but…I guess it is best to keep it at a distance and well enjoy the scenery. Because let me say one thing…I mean wow…seriously. You know though the thing is I am sure with everyone having a different flavor, she might not be for everyone…but this is my blog and my post…so for me she is SO HOT….OMG…I can’t stop…ok…I stopped.
Anyhow, I thought about sharing this and man…it was good to do so, sort of a relief. Now, for me to try and provide a perspective on this; well…it could be one-sided…but here it goes.
My Perspective:
If you’re single, why not, but seriously…I honestly suggest you don’t, office flings never workout…well for most of them…there are a few I seen make it through. I think it should be more of a eye candy thing…something to look forward to when you get to work and leave it at that.

Opportunities Left Behind –
You know the other I was watching the stock market and of course some of the Metals and I was looking at our dreaded Oil commodity. If you look back a few years ago, say 2009, at the beginning of the year of 2009 Crude Oil was trading $36 - $46, give and take. Now, since them I am sure you see it and have felt it; prices have reached $115 or so. Imagine if you could have enter the Crude Oil stock back in the beginning of 2009, well you can do numbers from 35’s to 100’s…not a bad investment and more importantly a return on your investment.
The thing is that this was the case with many stocks and other investment vehicles. If you had money to invest and I know many of us did not, but if you did you could have been in a better position at the moment. I thought about it and yah if I would have taken the step to maybe take out a little from my 401K, and invested in one of the nice stocks or other vehicle, then I could have been in a better position.
I understand that it is HIGHLY recommended that you never take out of your 401K, but statistically as many times as individuals change jobs, most individuals never put it into a CD, IRA or something, instead the money usually goes towards supporting the time that they did not have a job. So, why not while you know you have a steady job, take some out and invest. You end up paying your self back through your paychecks and with interest paid back to you….I know many don’t agree, but I am only stating an option…not the best option. I know what if you get laid off, you have to pay the loan back immediately or you will need to pay taxes on what you took out. I am only suggesting to do it, if you are confident that you will have the job at least until the loan is paid. Maybe set the payment plan to 2 years…thinking that maybe you’ll still have the job in 2 years…depending…I guess to each individuals circumstance.
But if you have been with a company for 5+ years and you are a valuable team member, then why not take some out and invest in something. Yah, I know it is water under the bridge the opportunity has left us, but maybe if we look closely at the market, another one will present itself. You know what I don’t know, I am thinking probably out-loud and something I wished I would have done, who knows…I see all these possibilities, they seems to always repeat themselves and we end up passing it by, or maybe I simply do, the thing is can’t let the next one go by and I am confident that there will be another opportunity.
Anyhow, I do appreciate you stopping by and reading my babbling, I share my ideas and thoughts only as an optional purposes, when they are good ideas I say so, if they are risky then I say again…simply use my babbling as another bit of information to go on. Remember we all need to keep our ears open and eyes peeled, because opportunities are all around us, we just need o learn to listen, but most importantly make sure it’s a legitimate opportunity and good investment.

8 Sneaky ways to burn calories without sweating
by The Editors of Prevention, on Fri Mar 25, 2011 11:24am PDT
Activity is not just about "exercise," it's about moving your body more all day long. This type of light activity is essential, whether you're a card-carrying couch potato or a marathon runner. Growing evidence finds that too much sitting harms your heart health. Worse, that damage is not easily undone by jumping on the elliptical trainer for 30 minutes in the morning if you spend the other 23 ½ hours sleeping and sitting. A recent study of 1,579 people found that people whose jobs require more than 6 hours of chair time a day are 68% more likely to wind up overweight than those who sit less.
The solution: Stand more. By using these tips you'll be in motion more all day long. That alone could be enough to help you shed stubborn pounds for good.
1. Limit yourself to one TV show: Watching TV is a great way to unwind. But when it comes to the tube, there's such a thing as too much downtime. The average American tunes in for 3 hours a day, which is really bad news for your waistline, especially when you consider that watching TV burns only slightly more calories than sleeping. Harvard researchers have found that every 2 hours spent watching television increases the likelihood of obesity by 23% and raises your risk of developing diabetes by 14%. Trade 1 hour of TV time for one long walk, and you can slash your obesity risk by 24% and lower your risk of diabetes by 34%.
2. Step it up: There's a reason an exercise machine called the Stair-Master exists: Taking the stairs is really, really good exercise! In one study, exercise scientists calculated that by taking just two more flights of stairs (up and down) each day, you could burn off 6 pounds in a year. Find excuses to make multiple trips between floors at work (using a restroom on another floor is one way) and at home.
3. Walk the halls at work: When you're stuck for ideas at work, get up and walk the halls. Stand and stretch during phone calls. Twice a day, get up and walk to talk to a colleague instead of e-mailing. Stanford University researchers calculated that if you were to walk across your office building and back to talk to a coworker instead of spending the same 2 minutes e-mailing, you could spare yourself 11 pounds over 10 years--effectively avoiding the "midlife spread."
4. Stand at your desk: Here's a very simple move that every office worker can do: Stand up. Sitting at your desk for an hour burns 63 calories. Standing burns 127, twice as many. If you have a cordless phone, you might even be able to pace a bit, just to get the blood flowing even more. Many workplaces are now offering drafting-style tables and high chairs for office workers, which gives you the option of working on your feet most of the day and sitting down to take breaks (instead of the other way around--standing when you need a break). Ask your human resources manager about them. You'll be surprised how much more energy you have when you spend your day on your feet rather than in your seat.
5. Get on the ball: Sit on a large stability or Swiss ball while checking e-mail in the evening. It's an easy way to engage all of your muscles for 15 to 20 minutes. You might even be inspired to do a few stretches and crunches after you log off.
6. Fire the maid and gardener: All those services that you hire to make your life easier can also end up making you heavier. Small daily tasks, like weeding the garden, mowing the lawn, trimming hedges, and cleaning house, can add up to an aerobic workout. In a 2-year study of 230 overweight and inactive men and women, researchers at the Cooper Institute, an aerobics-research organization in Dallas, found that those who spent 30 minutes a day raking the lawn, taking the stairs, and walking from far spaces in parking lots achieved the same improvements in fitness, blood pressure, and body fat as those who went to the gym for vigorous exercise 20 to 60 minutes at a time, 5 days a week.
7. Prep yourself slim: Cooking is a great wayo burn calories. Slicing, dicing, and braising burns twice as many , in fact, as calling your Chinese takeout place. Because you're in charge of the ingredients, cook with metabolism-boosting ingredients like those from the Active Calorie Diet. Limit takeout and delivery to two meals a week, tops.
8. Consider a stepper: Office workers are ideal candidates for a portable mini stepper like the Stamina InStride Electronic Mini Stepper--essentially, just two small Stair-climber -like pedals without the giant machine attached. Research from the Mayo Clinic found that workers who used these clever step devices while making phone calls or answering e-mail burned an extra 290 calories an hour--enough to burn off more than 40 pounds over the course of a year if they used the machines just 2 hours a day. The strategy is a little unconventional but worth considering. The stepper is relatively inexpensive and small enough to slide under your desk when you're not using it. Stepping is also something you can do while watching TV at night.
My Perspective:
I think if you at least take the time to get away from your desk it will do you a great deal of good. I know you want to keep the job and you are probably good at it, but you being sick and out for days or even months won't do you any good, so take a minute or two away from your desk and relax...it will do you great good and the company.

Office Drama – Drama - Drama
The other day I was thinking, as adults, well mostly parents, we have a tendency to try and lessen, for a better choice of a word, the drama our kids give us day in day out. I am sure most of us have been through or going through the daily drama’s our kids give us, whether they are small children with their tantrums or little individualism that crashes up against us everyday to the dramas of handling a teenager, we as adults frown upon that, we yell, ground, place in time-outs, but if you look closely it never changes, it becomes a routine. And the worst part of it all is that we have all been through it as children and teenagers; we were the same way with our parents and our parents were the same way, yah ok, as parents now, our parents would give us a backhand if we were out of place, now-a-days handing out a backhand is condemned by society so we try and avoid that as much as possible, so instead you ground the children or take away privileges’ and we know that only lasts for so long. So all the Drama our children give us and the drama we have to handle becomes a routine in our lives and we do it day in and day out.
It’s funny how parents do really know better, but of course Teenagers as well as young children test us everyday and you know we allow it, because besides punishing them or getting upset, we do nothing else to try and get rid of that habit or tantrum or whatever we may call it, we simply deal with it again when it comes up. So I ask, WHY can’t we have a generation of off-springs that will actually stop and listen to an adult, especially parents and say…”Ok you know I better not do that because my mom/dad told me that this would be the consequence, ok I won’t”, but of course that isn’t the case, as teenagers as well as young kids they go forward and do the things that is forbidden and then of course we get angry and ground and the cycle continues. Why is that? We as parents do our best to set a good example, you know, show them that hard work pays off, or that going to college actually gives you a better chance to land a job, or that being prepared for the future is the right thing to do, or of course not to sleep with anyone unless you have taken the proper precautions. Now, I have being told by other parents that we can raise our kids to be the best they could be, but that there is always someone out there, other kids, adults or groups, whatever the case may be that could possibly change the direction of our kids. But I say, if you educate your kids, lead by example, support them, and actually have some real stern ground rules and punishments in place, then why would someone have the capability to brainwash or lead your child in a different direction. Drugs, simply say no thanks, you a whose, well thank you, but I am a healthy whose, I mean I understand that it is human nature to try different things and of course it is human curiosity that pushes us to try or do forbidden things, but let’s say that you can show your kids these things and do it in a controlled environment, with you, let’s say, maybe then they will learn from you on how to handle these situations when these scenarios present themselves to them. I mean they do say that kids our a reflection of there parents or at least they absorb our habits, whether good or bad – hmm.
Anyhow, I wanted to lead into the whole drama thing into adults and of course work environment. We as parents can’t get away from the drama. You remember little Johnny always crying because he never got a turn or would never win, well believe me when I tell you that it doesn’t go away while at work or even dealing with adults, there are many adults that act as their kids do and the situations almost reflect what we see with kids…it is amazing. Ok, prime example…most companies work on “Productivity” and in order to get merit increases or recognition or even bonuses, companies associate a Point value to the type of work you perform, so lets say for every widget you make you get a point, but in order to meet a Productive day, you need 30 points or build 30 widgets, so in addition if you are being considered for a bonus you need meet 90% quality on those widgets. Now lets say that you are in the second part of the process, where you get a rough widget and you job is to smooth it out and add decals. So, you among lets say another 5 people do this job, and you all reach into a pile of rough widgets…the thing is for some reason you are faster so you happen to take more rough widgets, or once in a blue moon a special widget comes through and they ask if you can finish it. Now this can create issues, those other finishers in your group might now get as many widgets so they might not meet their goal for either production needs or their bonus incentives. Those other finishers, get upset, make a scene, talk directly to a supervisor or manager and then the manager needs to place a few rules and send a global memo stating that we all need to share in the wealth so be conscience on what you are taking. So I ask, in consideration to others, should you slow down and produce less?
I mean drama never seems to leave you, why is it that some parents get upset about their children’s drama, when they themselves can’t seems to stop with their drama. Come one, I am really certain that all of you out in the workforce, hey even just hanging with your friends, you run into drama, and truthfully you secretly say to yourself…”Are you serious, are these people for real”. Yah we all go through it, one way or another we see it and maybe it does not affect us directly but sometimes we are the ones that need to handle it…go figure. I just hope that those that handle the drama created by others do not have their own drama as well.
I am amazed at what you see at work, with friends, family, kids, significant other, I mean it is all around us and yet we do nothing to try and change it…yah ok you are thinking to yourself…”how can I”…”it is impossible to change something you can’t”, so why bother. Well, you know…”Heck with that”…I think we can, and we need to start with us, ourselves first…we need to learn to handle situations without making drama, there are ways to communicate what you want without sounding or looking like the end of the world has come. Once you have been able to get away from the drama you make, then you can start with those around you; kids, significant others, family. Yah I know you can push your values, wills, etc. onto others and you really shouldn’t but you have every right not to have to deal with drama from others, so people that care about you will respect your wishes and believe me, they will eventually thank you for removing yet another piece of “Drama” from their lives as well.
My Perspective:
As for the Job drama, times are tough, so maybe slowing down would be the correct thing to do, well maybe not the correct thing to do, but a temporary fix, while the economy gets better, maybe slowing down is wise. Once things pick up, then see nothing wrong with shining at work, showing them that you are a hard worker, you deserve the recognition, you have earned a place with the company…because you know why, this will flow over to your home life, if you are recognized, then you are a better person, and your family and friends will noticed it and be grateful and appreciative of your happiness…yah slow down for now and wait for the right moment to shine once again. As for the Drama with adults, you know…we need to start with us and make changes within ourselves before we can start changing the things around us. And if you think you can’t change people or you shouldn’t, well, if they care, truly, about you, they will respective your wishes and well eventually thank you for removing apiece of drama from their lives as well. Learn to react to things around you, stimulus, learn to communicate what you need in a relaxed, professional, calm tone…and if you catch yourself starting a little drama…hey why not…stop and count to 10 backwards and try again…communication is the key to everything…I mean that…everything. We need to be able to communicate what we want, but communicate it properly…I promise that it will lift some unnecessary weight off of you.
Thanks for reading and I hope to touch on this topic again. Be safe and Drama Free.
